Kyrgyzstan sees almost 4,900 measles cases in two months

Since the beginning of the year, as of March 5, 4,855 cases of measles have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, the country’s Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis said, Report informs via Kyrgyz media.
The virus is spread mostly in Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Chuy and Osh regions, the center said.
Kyrgyz doctors are preparing for the second stage of the vaccination campaign against measles and rubella, but the exact start date is still unknown.
