Kremlin responds to Bill Clinton

The Kremlin has reacted to former US President Bill Clinton's offer regarding Russia's joining NATO, Report says with reference to TASS.
Answering a question in a statement to the reporters, the Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that US officials had repeatedly stated that Russia's membership in NATO was not possible.
Peskov stressed that the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO will not bring additional security to Europe.
The 42nd US President Bill Clinton (1993-2001) has repeatedly offered former Russian President Boris Yeltsin and current President Vladimir Putin to join the alliance.
