Iranian Foreign Ministry calls US strike on Baghdad terror attack

The US military strike on the eastern regions of Baghdad is an act of terrorism that poses a threat to international security, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said, Report informs referring to the official website of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The diplomat stressed that Tehran “strongly condemns the terror attack committed by the American government on Iraqi territory and which led to the death of several representatives of the resistance forces, including Abu Bakir al-Saidi, one of the senior leaders in the fight against terrorism and the terrorist group ISIS.”

According to Kanaani, Washington’s actions are a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq and pose a “threat to international security and regional stability.”
