Iran ready for indirect talks with US on nuclear program if security guarantees are provided

Tehran is prepared to resume indirect negotiations with Washington on its nuclear dossier if guarantees are provided that the US and Israel will not carry out military attacks, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said an interview with Asharq Al Awsat, according to Report.

“We are ready to conduct fair and equal negotiations with the US, provided that the American side does not resort to military aggression during the discussions. We must be assured that the talks are based on mutual interests, not on attempts to achieve goals that could not be realized through strikes,” Araghchi emphasized.

He noted that Iran remains ready for dialogue but will not allow a repeat of past conflict scenarios in which joint actions by Israel and the US damaged the country’s nuclear infrastructure.

Araghchi added that any new negotiations will differ from previous rounds, and Tehran intends to safeguard its interests at all stages.

He also mentioned that talks are ongoing with European countries and the International Atomic Energy Agency to develop a new framework agreement.
