Iran says it has no links to attack on US base in Jordan

Iran has nothing to do with Sunday's drone attack on a US military base, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a statement.

"Statements about Iran’s involvement in the attack were made with specific political goals to change the realities in the region," he said.

On January 28, US Central Command reported a drone struck a military base in northeast Jordan. The Jordanian government said that a US base on the border from Syria was targeted.
