Irakli Kobakhidze: Georgia's goal is EU membership by 2030

Georgia's goal is EU membership by 2030, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said while presenting the government's program "Towards Europe Only with Peace, Dignity and Prosperity" to the parliament, Report informs.

He noted that on the path to European integration, Georgia is ready to accept all conditions that do not contradict the national interests of the country.

"Our goal is to protect the country's interests with dignity, including achieving EU membership with dignity, as well as improving our country's well-being. Our task, as follows from our slogan and government program, is movement towards the European Union. This path will be difficult. We have approximately six years ahead. Our goal, as already stated, is EU membership by 2030," he noted.

According to Kobakhidze, the EU must show that Georgia's economic development and improvement of the population's well-being are valuable and fundamentally important issues for it.
