"We are the main provider of NATO's security," said Hulusi Akar, Turkish Defense Minister, Report informs.
"We do not create problems for the Alliance. We are not against NATO's open door policy. But we want the Alliance's expansion to take into account the member countries' security. NATO is a security organization. One of its main tasks is the fight against terrorism. How will Sweden and Finland's explanation be if they don't fight terrorism but support it? The agreement reached in Madrid is a good start but not the end. We have not changed our position. If there is a fight against FETO, PKK and other terrorist organizations, we will not object to the membership of those countries. Otherwise, we will not approve the agreement," he said.
