Hrachya Sargsyan: Armenia's military budget will never reach the level of Azerbaijan's military budget

Armenia"s defense expenditures will never reach the size of Azerbaijan"s military budget, Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Hrachya Sargsyan said.

According to Report, citing Armenian media, that he said it is still unclear whether the amount allocated to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia in the state budget for 2026 will be reduced.

"I assure you that the Ministry of Defense will operate in 2026 according to the same logic as in 2024 and 2025," he concluded.

Armenia"s military budget for 2025 amounts to $1.7 billion, while defense and national security expenditures in Azerbaijan"s state budget for the current year amount to about $5 billion.
