Deputies of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia determined the date of the elections of the head of the region, they will hold election on a single day – September 8, Report informs citing RIA Novosti.
"At the meeting on Monday, the deputies of the People's Assembly adopted a resolution on the date of elections of the head of Ingushetia, they will be held on September 8 – on a single day of voting," the press service of the Parliament reported.
It should be noted that the head of the region in Ingushetia, as well as in a number of other North Caucasian republics, is elected by the Parliament from three candidates presented by the President of Russia.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of Yunus-bek Yevkurov and appointed Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov as acting head of Ingushetia.
