Hakan Fidan: Modern world order does not serve peace and stability

The modern world order does not serve to ensure peace, stability, justice and equality, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at the opening ceremony of the Diplomacy Forum in Antalya.

"The existence of a multipolar international system is becoming more and more obvious every day. We are increasingly witnessing attempts to achieve results through brutal force," he said.

According to him, the world needs strong international institutions and partnerships more than ever.

"An international system that is not based on the principles of justice will not last long. There are principled countries that stand for global justice no matter what," he said.

Fidan emphasized that the international system, which has lost its effectiveness, contributes to an even greater increase in violence and cruelty: "Therefore, there is no time to waste. Today, the world needs diplomacy more than ever."
