Grigoryan: CSTO security system didn’t work for Armenia

Armenia is diversifying its foreign and security policy, and doing so openly, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan told journalists, Report informs referring to Armenian media.

“As for the statements of representatives of the Russian Federation regarding the so-called ‘hesitations’ of Armenia on the issue of leaving or not leaving the CSTO, Armenia does not hesitate, it is diversifying its foreign policy. Diversification includes not only the West, but also India and a number of other countries,” he noted.

According to Grigoryan, the security system, of which Armenia is a part, “did not work in 2020-2021,” so the country is looking for other security guarantees.

“I don’t see any problems here, we are firm in our policy,” he emphasized.
