Georgia’s new PM to make his first visit to Brussels

Irakli Kobakhidze will go to Brussels on February 20-21 for his first visit as the new Prime Minister of Georgia, Report informs referring to Sputnik Georgia.

“This applies to both the European Union and NATO. The agenda has already been determined. Accordingly, the first visit will be made to Brussels,” he told journalists.

Kobakhidze stated that his main goal as prime minister would be to fulfill his goals - integration into the EU, the fight against poverty and the peaceful restoration of the territorial integrity of the country.

On February 8, the Georgian Parliament expressed a vote of confidence in Kobakhidze, his proposed composition of the government and the government program “For the construction of a European state.” As many as 84 deputies voted for, 10 against. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili signed an order on his appointment on the same day.
