Georgia's foreign exchange reserves have reached $7.1 billion, renewing their historic high, Report's Georgian bureau informs.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said this at a government meeting.

According to the prime minister, along with economic growth, the country's foreign exchange reserves are also increasing, and the National Bank of Georgia is actively working in this direction.

He noted that last month, foreign exchange reserves stood at $7.1 billion, the highest figure in the country's history.

Kobakhidze said the reserves increased by 52% year-on-year, describing this as a result of both the country's economic achievements and the work of the National Bank.
