General Staff: Ukrainian army holding off Russian offensive in three directions

The Russian troops in Ukraine are demoralized, Report informs, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, desertion and looting cases have increased significantly.

Over the past two days, Ukraine's fighter aircraft and units of anti-aircraft missile forces have destroyed four Su-25 attack aircraft and two helicopters of Russia, the General Staff said on Facebook.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported that the Ukrainian army is holding off Russian forces in three operational areas, and continues to defend Kyiv, Kharkiv, Okhtyrka and Mariupol. The air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cause significant damage to the Russian troops in the air and on the ground.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold off the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in the Donetsk, Slobozhansky and part of the Taurida operational regions. They protect the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Okhtyrka. The main efforts are concentrated on preventing the enemy's advance in the southeasterly direction. There is a circular defense of the city of Mariupol," the General Staff said.

Russian troops entered Ukraine early in the morning on February 24. First, the Russian military began to bomb military facilities and then attacked peaceful settlements, particularly Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Mariupol.
