EU to consider Ukraine's membership within few months

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has tweeted that he had a substantial conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Report informs, citing the Ukrainian leader’s tweet.

He noted that the EC opinion on Ukraine’s application for EU membership will be prepared within a few months.

Zelensky added that the Ukrainian Government and the European Commission are instructed, and they are moving to the strategic goal together.

“I assured President Volodymyr Zelensky of the EU’s unabated support. Ukraine’s European path has now begun. Times like these require the vision, steadfastness and stamina to take one difficult step after the next,” Ursula von der Leyen tweeted.
