Türkiye advocates for an immediate ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war and is ready to assist in the negotiation process, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a video conference at a meeting of EU leaders.
According to him, Türkiye supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence and considers it crucial to establish a strong diplomatic foundation for dialogue between the parties involved in the conflict.
"We support the idea of a swift ceasefire and the cessation of attacks on land, in the air, and at sea," Erdogan emphasized.
Erdogan also confirmed Türkiye's readiness to contribute to conflict resolution, including through mediation.
