Erdogan to discuss 'grain corridor' from Ukraine with Putin, Zelenskyy

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday he intends to hold telephone talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelenskyy over the coming week to discuss the creation of a safe corridor for the export of grain from Ukraine.

Report informs that a video recording of the Turkish President's speech at a meeting with representatives of Turkish youth in Van province was disseminated by the Office of the President.

"There is a war going on between Ukraine and Russia, and we know that agricultural products come from these countries to a large extent. At this stage, we have no problems with this, we have 5 million tons of wheat in our storages, but we would like to increase these volumes," Erdogan said.

"We will take part in the work (on creating a safe corridor for sending agricultural products - ed.) not only for ourselves, but also for third countries. Negotiations are ongoing, in the coming week we will discuss the steps that can be taken, with Zelenskyy and Putin.
