Erdogan explores bilateral relations, regional issues with Hungarian PM

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban within the framework of the NATO summit held in Washington DC, the US, Report informs, citing Presidency of Türkiye.

The leaders discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, including Türkiye's accession to the EU, as well as regional and global problems.

During the meeting, Erdogan stated that the Türkiye continues its peace efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war and Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The parties also emphasized the importance of strengthening efforts by the international community to establish peace in these regions.

Turkish President also pointed out that Ankara hopes to support the intensification of Türkiye's accession to the European Union and the development of relations with the EU during Hungary's presidency.
