Envoy: US to continue support Armenia-Azerbaijan talks

The US will continue to support the talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, US Ambassador to Yerevan Kristina Kvien said, Report informs.

She noted that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called the talks constructive.

The goal is to try to achieve a result that will bring to all a lasting and just peace in the region. The US has made it clear that the long-standing standoff between the parties has no military solution, she added.

The US said that military outbreaks are not conducive to negotiations. The US called on all parties to resolve their differences through negotiations, she noted, adding that the path to solving the problems of the region lies through lasting peace.
