Public activist Artur Chakhoyan clashed with employees of the Yerevan Nor Nork district administration in the municipality building, the head of the district Tigran Ter-Markaryan also actively participated in the brawl, Report informs via Armenian media.

Chakhoyan is known for his criticism of the capital's authorities, and conflicts periodically arise between him and officials.

The fight was a continuation of yesterday's action, which Chakhoyan and a member of the Yerevan Council of Elders from the opposition bloc "Mother Armenia" Mesrop Manukyan staged in the administration building. On April 29, Chakhoyan and Manukyan came to meet with Ter-Markaryan, who, as they claim, had previously insulted Chakhoyan in a telephone conversation, using obscene language.

The day before, the head of the district did not meet with them, as a result, they pasted posters with the image of the official on the wall of the building and poured yogurt on them, accompanying this action with insults addressed to Ter-Markaryan. But this was not enough, and today Chakhoyan decided to go there again to sort things out with the prefect.

He was met by over a dozen employees led by Ter-Markaryan, and after a short squabble a fight broke out. Several people attacked the activist and began to hit him.
