Dozens of companies penalized over discount scams in Armenia

The Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition in Armenia detected violations in 35 out of 80 discount promotions from various economic entities, Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia.
"In connection with the discounts, 35 proceedings were initiated, 31 economic entities admitted violations. One is still ongoing," the commission noted.
A total fine of about 86.2 million drams ($215,000) was imposed and 15 warnings were issued as a result of the decisions taken.
