Delegation from Finland arrives in Turkiye for talks on extradition of PKK members

A delegation from Finland has arrived in Ankara to discuss issues related to Turkiye’s demands for ratification of the country’s accession to NATO.

The Finnish delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Finland, Report informs citing Interfax.

During the talks, the Turkish side is expected to raise issues related to the request for the extradition of persons associated, according to Ankara, with terrorist activities. These are members of the PKK and Fethullah Gullen’s FETO movement living in Finland, Turkiye considers these organizations to be terrorist groups.

At the moment, the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO has been ratified by 28 countries out of 30. Only Turkiye and Hungary have not done this.
