Criminal case initiated into Armenian soldier’s murder

A criminal case has been initiated in Armenia against a serviceman accused of killing his colleague, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
On May 4, at about 20:00 local time, at the combat position of one of the military units, a conscript Artem Melkonyan (born in 2002), while on duty, received a fatal gunshot wound to the head as a result of violation of the rules for handling weapons by his colleague.
The criminal case was initiated under the article "Violation of the rules for handling weapons, ammunition and objects, materials and substances posing an increased danger to others" of the Armenian Criminal Code.
A preliminary investigation is underway.
