Türkiye should participate in all defense initiatives in Europe, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said at the NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum in Ankara, Report informs.
"Türkiye ranks 11th among defense exporters and intends to enter the top ten in the near future. Last year, defense and aerospace exports exceeded $11 billion, more than half of which went to NATO allies and EU countries," Yilmaz said.
He emphasized that Türkiye, a significant contributor to NATO's European component, must participate in all defense initiatives in Europe.
"Restrictions and sanctions on defense trade between allies must be eliminated," he added.
