CENTCOM rejects Iran's claim US struck wedding in Sirik

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected allegations that US forces struck a wedding ceremony in Sirik during the September 1 attacks, while Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei disputed the US position, Report informs, citing Fars.

CENTCOM reiterated that the United States does not target civilians.

Baghaei accused the United States of ignoring its past record and referred to the US-produced television series "Homeland," saying its fourth season depicted an American drone strike on a wedding in Pakistan that killed around 40 civilians.

Iran earlier said a US strike had hit a wedding ceremony in Sirik, causing deaths and injuries.
