British intelligence: Russia to need 1 week to redeploy troops from north to east Ukraine

At least part of the Russian troops withdrawn from the north of Ukraine to Belarus and Russia will be transferred to the east to capture the Donbas, according to the morning report of British intelligence, Report informs citing UNIAN.

This process may take a week.

The shelling of cities in eastern and southern Ukraine continues, and Russian troops have moved further south from the strategically important city of Izyum, which remains under their control, reads the report.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the main efforts of the Russian troops are aimed at capturing Mariupol, as well as an offensive near the city of Izyum, breaking through the defenses of the Joint Forces grouping in the Donetsk direction.

The enemy is completing the restoration of the combat capability of the units of the Central Military District in the Bryansk and Kursk regions, the General Staff noted.
