Astana to host second ‘Central Asia+Germany’ meeting

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who paid an official visit to Astana, Report informs, via Kazakhstan media.
During Scholz’s visit, high-level discussions and the second meeting within “Central Asia+Germany” format were set to take place.
Germany ranks among Kazakhstan’s top ten trading partners, exporting agricultural machinery, medicine, medical equipment, and passenger cars. Kazakhstan, in turn, exports turboprop engines, oil, coal, nickel, and other goods to Germany. Last year, the trade turnover between the two nations approached $4 billion.
