Armenia to join Ashgabat agreement on creation of transit corridor

Armenia will join the Ashgabat Agreement on the creation of an international transit corridor.
Report informs via Armenian media that the decision was made during a government meeting.
The government emphasized that the Ashgabat Agreement will contribute to strengthening transport links and economic cooperation in the region.
According to the proposal, joining the agreement between Iran, Oman, Qatar, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan on the creation of an international transport and transit corridor will open up new opportunities for Armenia to integrate into the transport corridor connecting Central Asian countries with the ports of the Persian Gulf.
