Armenia recounts votes at 637 polling stations

The Central Election Commission of Armenia has published data on a recount of votes at 637 polling stations following the parliamentary elections held on June 7.

As Report informs, the information was released by the CEC.

According to the Commission, cited by Report, the votes for the ruling Civil Contract party increased by 1,148, reaching 727,820 votes.

The Strong Armenia bloc increased its result by 508 votes to 340,088, while the Armenia bloc gained 217 votes, reaching 145,113.

The Prosperous Armenia party, which did not pass the 4% threshold in the preliminary results, received an additional 147 votes, bringing its total to 58,378.

The CEC also reported that total discrepancies increased by 230 to 1,509, while invalid ballots decreased by 859 to 16,238.

The recount was conducted at 637 out of 2,005 polling stations based on requests from political forces. Final election results are expected to be announced on June 14.
