Belarus servicemen do not want to participate in the war against Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovich, an advisor of the head of the Ukrainian president's office, said, Report informs citing UNIAN.

"Belarus military do not want to take part in battles against Ukraine... The Belarus leadership constantly measures its moral and psychological state, its readiness to participate. According to their own information, over 60% of the military personnel are extremely negative about a possible operation against Ukraine," Arestovich said.

He believes that even if they are forced to participate in the war against Ukraine, they will not show “examples of military prowess”. They will either remain neutral, or they will fight very badly, or even go over to our side, Arestovich said.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian General Staff of the Armed Forces reported about a high threat that Belarus could launch an offensive in the Volyn direction. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry noted that there were signs of the preparation of Belarusian forces for "invasion of the territory of Ukraine", but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to fight back.
