Alexey Overchuk: Russia and Azerbaijan aim to boost economic cooperation

Russia and Azerbaijan intend to enhance their economic collaboration, according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, Report informs.
Overchuk told journalists that both sides recognize the importance of their growing economic ties.
"We held an intergovernmental commission meeting and noted from both sides that our cooperation is developing. The cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan is very important for both our countries, and we are working to improve these relations," he said.
The most recent session of the Russia–Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission took place on August 22, 2025, in Astrakhan.
