"While we extend a hand of peace, Greece insists on continuing its provocative actions and statements that increase tensions," Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said, Report informs via TRT News.
"These are simply things put forward to confuse people in the international arena. The policy of the Turkish state is very clear. They want maritime jurisdiction of 40,000 square kilometers, and they are arming the islands in violation of international agreements. We have not allowed any provocation to this day, and we will not do so," Akar said.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated at the year-end press conference that Ankara would not allow the expansion of Greece's territorial waters in the Aegean Sea.
