The possibility of any bargaining or persecution regarding the call of the imprisoned leader of the PKK terrorist organization, Abdullah Ocalan, to his supporters is not a topic of discussion, Omer Celik, the spokesman for Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), said at a press conference, Report informs.
He emphasized that Türkiye does not want a terrorist threat in Syria and Iraq.
"The principles adopted are very clear and unambiguous. These are laying down weapons and eliminating terrorist organizations. Our main goal is to prevent the PKK, PYD, and YPG terrorist organizations from destabilizing the region."
Celik noted that official Ankara is closely following the process: "We must be careful. In order to end terrorism in the region, provocative attempts by some states will be prevented."
