7 killed, 4 others injured in shootout between police and militants in Russia

Seven people, including two policemen and five militants, were killed and four law enforcement officers were injured as a result of an attack by militants on road patrol officers in the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic of Russia, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia stated, Report informs with reference to Sputnik Armenia.

According to information, after throwing explosives from a VAZ-2109 car in the direction of a temporary police post, they started shooting from an automatic weapon at night on April 29.

It was reported that an improvised bomb was found at the scene.
