54 dead from counterfeit alcohol consumption in Türkiye's Ankara

A total of 54 people have died, and 40 others remain in intensive care due to counterfeit alcohol consumption in Türkiye's capital Ankara, local TRT Haber said, Reports informs.
Within the framework of the investigation conducted by Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office, 28 people have been arrested as suspects, the prosecutor's office reported.
In January, 37 people died due to counterfeit alcohol consumption in Istanbul. Among them were citizens of Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
