Oil prices fell on Thursday after rising the previous day, with the situation in the Middle East remaining the focus of market attention, Report informs referring to trading data.
August Brent crude futures on London's ICE Futures exchange settled at $96.98 per barrel, down 0.85% from the previous close.
WTI futures for July in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) fell 0.76% to $95.29 per barrel.
The US State Department noted that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to observe the ceasefire following Washington-brokered talks and intend to resume political and security discussions the week of June 22 with the goal of reaching a comprehensive agreement.
