Zelenskyy says ceasefire first step towards peace talks

The first point in future peace talks should be an agreement on an unconditional ceasefire. Only after that can other issues, including territorial ones, be discussed, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Report informs via Ukrainian media.

"Any negotiations are a fragile ability to end a war, especially when it comes to Russia, which has so far demonstrated its unpreparedness to end the war. The first step is an unconditional ceasefire, even if it will require certain stages, such as silence in the sky, silence at sea. But ultimately this will lead to silence on the entire front," Zelenskyy added.

He noted that this is the only correct path to a just peace.
