Zelenskyy: Russia launched 26 missiles, about 600 drones at Ukraine at night

Russian troops launched 26 missiles and almost 600 drones at Ukraine tonight, July 12, more than half of which were "Shaheds," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

"This night, Russia struck from Kharkiv and Sumy regions to Lviv and Bukovyna. There were 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones, more than half of which were "Shaheds." More than 20 missiles and the overwhelming majority of attack drones were neutralized. Thanks to our air defense forces for the result," Zelenskyy said.

He noted that there were hits on civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. As of now, there are two known dead people in Chernivtsi. Another 20 people injured as a result of the shelling are receiving all the necessary assistance, he said.

"The pace of Russia's air strikes requires quick decisions, and it can be slowed down by sanctions right now. We need tough secondary sanctions against everyone who helps Russia produce drones and make money on oil. We need more air defense and investment in interceptor drones, which are already showing good results," the Ukrainian president noted.
