Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address the Italian parliament on March 22, Report informs, citing ANSA agency.
He will address a joint session of the House and Senate at the parliament building, Montecitorio, via videolink.
Earlier, the Ukrainian leader, who had already spoken in a number of legislative bodies of foreign states, including the US Congress, received a similar invitation from the chairman of the lower house, Roberto Fico.
Several Italian deputies, particularly those representing the Five Star Movement, expressed that Zelensky's invitation to the national parliament is inappropriate since he has already spoken in the European Parliament, where all EU member states are represented.
