The world community won’t be able to put an end to pandemic unless it provides Africa with vaccines, World Health Organization Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at an online event hosted by IMF and World Bank.
“6.5 billion doses were used around the world. However, only 166 million doses were delivered for Africa’s 1.2 billion people. Therefore, the continent has no medicine for revaccination,” he said.
The WHO head stressed that it is impossible to end the pandemic without delivering a dose to Africa.
