Wage growth in US during Trump’s presidency reaches 60-year record

Wage growth in the United States at the start of President Donald Trump’s term has reached record levels not seen in the past 60 years, according to Report.

“The ongoing boom in real blue-collar wage growth continues to power an economic revival and wages are up 1.4% at an annualized rate,” US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on X.

According to a chart presented by the head of the Treasury, over Trump’s entire first presidential term, the wage growth rate in the country amounted to 1.5 percent.

At the same time, the sharpest wage decline was recorded during Ronald Reagan’s presidency (-2.1%), followed by Joe Biden (-1.7%) and George H. W. Bush (-1.5%).
