Vucic does not intend to run for President of Serbia again

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic does not intend to run for the next presidential election, Report informs via Izvestia.

Vucic made the remark on August 13 during a press conference following a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stoker.

"I am a political veteran, I can no longer run for president," the Kurir newspaper quoted him as saying.

The Serbian leader also clarified that he would end his presidential career in a year and a half and had no plans to change the country's Constitution. In addition, he allowed early elections to the Serbian parliament.

On the evening of August 12, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured, including 16 policemen. It was clarified that a group of citizens of the republic protested in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. Several people were detained.
