Venezuela secures $346M IMF funds for recovery

The Venezuelan authorities have gained access to $346 million of their funds held at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said Delcy Rodríguez, Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Report informs
Rodríguez highlighted that the money will be directed toward eliminating the consequences of the devastating earthquake.
According to her, the allocated funds will be used to support affected families, rebuild housing, repair critical infrastructure, and restore essential public services. Rodríguez also expressed gratitude to IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva for her support.
The destructive earthquake struck Venezuela on June 24, leaving 5,069 dead, 16,740 injured, and 17,907 homeless.
