Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry supports contacts with Taliban

Uzbek Foreign Ministry has released information about contacts with the Taliban grouping that seized power in Afghanistan.
Report informs, citing TASS, that the Uzbekistan government supports close contacts with the Taliban to protect borders and ensure stability in the borderline areas.
According to the information, Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif continue their work.
Uzbekistan also said it would take measures in line with the law against any step aimed at violating the border.
