US Under Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Cole will retire this summer, in mid-July, Report informs referring to a written statement by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The reasons are not specified.
It is not known who will replace him on this post.
The post of US Under Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs is the third most important in the Pentagon.
