The US administration is considering raising customs duties on imports of a number of Chinese goods, including electronic cars, Report informs citing The Wall Street Journal.
It is unknown when a decision will be made: the White House and representatives of other departments are still discussing this issue. The possibility of a “long-term revision of tariffs at the beginning of next year” is also being considered. At the same time, the United States is thinking about reducing duties on some consumer goods from China that are not considered strategically important, the publication’s interlocutors indicated.
Imported Chinese electric vehicles are currently subject to tariffs of 25%.
