US congressman carjacked in Southeast Washington

A congressman from Texas was carjacked Monday night in Washington about a mile from the US Capitol, according to DC police and the congressman’s office, Report informs, citing Washington Post.

Rep. Henry Cuellar (D) was carjacked in the Navy Yard area of Southeast Washington by robbers who took his vehicle and his luggage, according to information from the police and Cuellar’s aides. Police said at least one of the carjackers had a gun.
