The US House of Representatives has passed a bill allocating $1.15 trillion for the country's military needs in 2027.
According to Report, 216 lawmakers voted in favor, while 212 opposed. The bill will now move to the Senate for debate. If approved there, it will be presented to President Donald Trump for signature.
It was noted that Senate discussions may be difficult, as at least 60 senators' support is required for passage. A similar bill was previously rejected by the upper chamber.
Additionally, the House approved another bill providing $95 billion in funding, of which $73 billion is proposed for military operations against Iran. This measure will also be reviewed by the Senate.
