UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay is visiting Ukraine, the director general wrote on X, Report informs.
“In Lviv, Ukraine, nearly three years after the outbreak of the war, to highlight the central role that culture plays in the country's recovery and further increase UNESCO's support for artists and cultural professionals.
Lviv is a historically multicultural city, the heir to many influences, and a jewel of Ukrainian architecture. Before the war, it was already one of the country’s cultural capitals, a place of extraordinary artistic abundance.
For the past three years, Lviv also became a city of refuge for artists from all over Ukraine, which is why UNESCO is mobilizing substantial resources here,” reads the post.
