UN Security Council to mull situation in Afghanistan

The UN Security Council will hold a meeting on August 30 on the situation in Afghanistan, according to the work schedule circulated by the press service of the organization, Report informs referring to TASS.
The meeting is scheduled for 15:00 (23:00 Baku time).
Earlier, sources in the UN reported on the plans of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to discuss the situation in Afghanistan with representatives of the countries - permanent members of the UN Security Council. French President Emmanuel Macron also announced plans to convene the Security Council on this issue.
